FUP is an abbreviation for Fair Use Policy. It is a limit that internet providers put on the customers so that their Unlimited plan is not misused. For example, BSNL Fiber Value plan provides Unlimited data at 100mbps per month, with an FUP of 3.3TB.
Besides the broad band plans with unlimited data and FUP limits, Rail wire has some top-up offer aim at the user who choose the FUP limit plan. The five top-ups avail are Rs 149 with 5GB data, Rs 249 top-up with 10GB data, Rs 199 top-up with 25GB data benefits, Rs 299 top-up with 50GB data, and finally the Rs 449 data top-up that offer 100GB data.
For DSL accounts with Speed Boost add-on or installed from November 11, 2011 until March 11, 2015, the usage allowance is refreshed on a daily basis with the following thresholds: For DSL 1Mbps: 3GB per account per day. For DSL 2Mbps: 5GB per account per day. For DSL 3Mbps: 7GB per account per day. For DSL 5Mbps: 10GB per account per day.
As for the data quota, all U Mobile Prepaid plans currently comes with “unlimited” data but of course, they do have a monthly hard cap as stipulated under the telco’s Fair Usage Policy (FUP). Specifically, the FUP for Prepaid U25 was set at 30GB while Prepaid U35 and Prepaid U40 have a FUP limit of 100GB each.

Typically, FUP is used under those circumstances where few customers, using heavy data and fill up available bandwidth and make the overall experience inappropriate for other users on the same network while browsing, downloading, and gaming.
Many broadband connections in India are now unlimited. While a number of them still have a FUP (fair usage policy) which limits your high speed usage quota, others have switched to fully unlimited plans as well. Airtel and JioFiber both have fully unlimited plans you can choose.
The Vodacom Fibre Broadband Services terms and conditions shall, upon a subscriber’s acceptance of a quotation from Vodacom, be deemed to be incorporated into the Agreement and bind the subscriber for the duration of the fixed-term agreement that a subscriber elects to enter into, including any extension thereof.
